Giving back to Hamburg has always been very important to me and my family, which is why:
I coached both boys and girls basketball for over 20 years with Hamburg Little Cagers;
I coached t-ball for Hamburg Junior Baseball League;
I have been a weekly driver for Meals on Wheels for 15 years;
I became an EMT to join the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department;
I am the former coach for Frontier High School Mock Trial Team;
I received the Hamburg Service to Youth Award;
I am a former board member for Hamburg Counseling Center;
I am a former Erie County Assistant District Attorney.
I began my journey in public service as an Assistant District Attorney, where I prosecuted robbery, burglary, shootings, felony DWIs, and even murder cases. Over a decade in the DA’s office, I became Chief of the Felony DWI Bureau and later Chief of Gang Prosecutions, handling some of the county’s most serious and complex criminal cases.
For the last 20 years, I’ve worked as a criminal defense attorney, where I’ve had the opportunity to advocate for individuals in both misdemeanor and felony cases. This experience has given me a balanced, well-rounded understanding of our legal system—from both sides of the courtroom.
But public service goes beyond the legal world. I’ve served as an EMT with the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department, coached youth basketball and Little League, volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 15 years, and held the roles of Town Attorney and Town Prosecutor.
